More Ramblings

Let me preface this by saying that I am NOT a Democrat, nor am I a Republican. I have not and probably never will vote third party, unless they get enough support and/or a candidate that is worth a damn. The last several times I voted, it was to vote AGAINST the other candidate. The last candidate I actually voted FOR was Richard Nixon, and I would gladly vote for him again.
As for a pure, lily white candidate, forget it! I don"t think there will be or ever has been for that matter.
Anyhow, I'm not here to preach my political convictions, cause I aint got any.
What I would like is for America to WAKE UP! Look at where we are. Look at where we're going!
Look at what we have leading us. Talk to your friends, relatives, neighbors, strangers on the street. Tell em, beg em, whatever it takes, LOOK AT AMERICA! We are selling it out, giving it away, losing it by apathy!
PEOPLE, LETS TAKE OUR COUNTRY BACK!!! Not by armed revolt (unless necessary), but at the polls. Kick the worthless bastards OUT! Get involved, make them put forth some good, decent, God fearing...better yet, voter fearing candidates.
More ramblings to follow..............Rusty

  1. Aw wah, I'm afeered that armed revolt may be necessary. Look at all the damned peoples that voted for that big eared, left wing, communist bastard that is in charge now. I must hang with the wrong crowd. I dunno anyone that voted for him, but there are evidently a majority of fools in the USA.

I'm still patiently waiting for even more ramblings................

  3. It is my understanding that your beloved Nixson is the a**hole that sold this country's medical care to the highest bidder and sold it to the AMA, Pharmaceuticals and Insurance companies by letting lobbyist run amuck, etc.

The problem with our country is that we are all focused on ME and not WE. And we can't trust any politician to do what is right BY THE PEOPLE because they are all bought and paid for by some special interest group.

  4. Now about this Feo2 thing. To be chemically correct you are going to have to declare if you are in the FERROUS or the FERRIC state. If in the ferrous state then the proper formula would simply be FeO. If in the ferric state it would be Fe2O3. Ferrous Oxide is usually black. Ferric Oxide is usually red. So what's it gonna be???

  5. It is my understanding that Ferric Oxide is Rust.
Hence, since I am Rusty, I go by FeO2

  6. And Sam,
You may be correct. I never said Nixon was perfect, just that I liked him. AND, thank you, that's what this page is for. Interest and discussion.

  7. I'm with you Rusty, something going to come to a head before long. Even some Democrats are finally seeing the light. The Republicans have gotten almost as bad as the Democrats, personally I'm a Conservative and think we need a true Conservative party, but ...

That would simply split the Republican vote and we would never win office. It's frustrating. Thus the TEA Parties popping up all across this nation. "Taxes Enough Already Parties" July 4th this year should be a whopper of a TEA party, you just wait and see.

No don't do that, start one in your area, or check to see if there is one near you and GO, speak out, make your voice heard or at least wave a flag or something. There will be one in Jackson I'm sure.

Thanks for the mention in your sidebar. I gave you a shout out yesterday.

  8. Obviously Sam is wrong headed and misguided. She probably voted for Obama too. Indeed this country should be focused on ME rather than WE. More specifically the focus should be on the most oppressed minority in this country, THE INDIVIDUAL!

This country is great and stands apart from the rest of the world because of freedom granted to rugged individuals to be the best they can possibly be. When gubment stands in the way of the individual, taxes him, regulates him, spreads his wealth to the lazy and unproductive, then the incentive for the individual to excel is gone. The best that WE or the collective can hope to achieve is mediocrity.

When this country begins to focus on the collective rather than the individual then we will no longer be a great nation. We'll be no better than some European social democracy, or worse.

I thank Nixon for getting us out of Vietnam. I despise him for giving us more gubment intrusion in the form of OSHA. He was no doubt a crook but he did nothing the rest of them have not done. He just got caught.

  9. Some of these European "socialist" countries have a far better standard of living than we do in America AND their citizens get to keep their freedoms and individual rights.

So it's ok for a greedy CEO to get upteen million dollar bonuses while squandering the employee's retirement, health care, wages?...Corporations could not run without the workers. Or, it's ok to have thousands of homeless, hungry AMERICANS, many of them who are not in that plight by choice? We, as a society are to turn a blind eye as long as "ME" is happy? We are to sit by and do nothing while individuals are denied needed healthcare, not because "we", as a country, don't have the tools or knowledge, but because "ME" does not have insurance? We are to sit by quietly as our insurance companies start cleansing their rolls of anyone who actually USES THE INSURANCE THEY PAY FOR, just so the insurance company has better profit margins? Any society that allows this to happen is a sick society.

  10. How in de woild did I raise such a staunch Democrat? In the Republican world, if you work, you have a house, have insurance, have food cause you aint passing your money all out to the no shows!

  11. And before you throw it back, this goes for you too Casey, remember the fit I pitched and the boycott I launched against Wal Mart last year. See, I havent JUST started bitchin!

  12. Well, speaking of the old hell-mart, here is a great example of what Sam is kinda talking about. forget about the homeless and such for the purpose of this arguement. there are MILLIONS of Americans with jobs like Wal-Mart who are trying to raise families on less than sufficent wages with a joke of choices of "affordable" healthcare. i can't even imagine what these people go through. as you well know, when i was a single college student working full-time at this company, i couldn't even make enough to pay my own bills - much less for a whole family.

  13. That's the fallacy of Republican (and sometimes Democrat) logic. Having a job does not mean you can afford to live. I firmly believe in working, but some people are too lazy, some don't have the physical or mental capacity, and in some places, there are more people than jobs available. For the first group- the too lazy- I have no sympathy for them. But I do for the others.

I have a friend from high school that needs all of his wisdom teeth pulled. He has a job, has insurance. The insurance company has decided that anestesia was "optional" and is not paying for it. My OWN insurance plan keeps denying all of my husband's claims this year (even tho I pay for BOTH of us), claiming we MUST have other insurance that we're not reporting so they are not required to pay his bills. And you all know how many times we've been to the doc with him this year. It's a pain in the butt and the insurance company is just hoping that I'll get lazy and pay the bill. IT's crap. I imagine if Chris has any more major medical conditions, he'll probably get dropped by my insurance plan and they'll be no way in hell anyone else will insure him because of it. It scares the crap of out me. I can only imagine how those w/o insurance feel any time a family member get sick.
