Enough FOO FOO, Here's the Facts!

I am sitting here after having text chatting with my oldest Grandson for a while! He is 19 years old. I was trying to get him to take a little interest in what is happening. No matter WHAT I said to him, his response was "LOL" (laughing out loud), or "lmao, (laughing my ass off). This boy has been exposed to me and my beliefs since he was six years old! He is a stepgrandson.
BUT! I have three children. I have raised them since they were first hatched and 2/3 of them are NO BETTER! Two of my children are liberal and the third aint interested! I LOVE MY CHILDREN and my Grandchildren! Why in Hell can't they SEE what we have in the Whitehouse? Don't they see that Obama is selling us out by the day? Apologizing for America! AMERICANS DO NOT APOLOGIZE! We took this country from the Indians, We TOOK this country from the British. Face it folks, we have not been pussies for 200 years, but we are becoming one now! He is selling us out into Socialism, Communism, Indebitedness for the next 100 years? Am I alone in my fear that the Gestapho may knock down my door any minute? Take my computers? Take my radios. Take my guns? Yea, take away my freedom as an American?
Hell, Abraham Lincoln whipped our southern asses back in 1865, but he did not take away our liberty. Why? Because even he had a birth certificate, was an American and to boot, HAD READ THE CONSTITUTION!
Folks, I am SCARED! Obama wants, by virtue of his "FREE HEALTHCARE", to be able to access my bank account, my financial records and ANYTHING ELSE HE DAMN WELL PLEASES!
He is already advocating Americans SPYING on other Americans. He wants to give a "Death Pill" to us older Americans! Jesus Christ, people, look at what's happening around you! PLEASE, please JUST THINK ABOUT IT!
I have enjoyed being a FREE AMERICAN, being able to voice my opinion, vote as I please, own a gun, work my ass off to buy groceries, pay mt bills, speak freely both in person and over the airwaves for 62 years. This is not about to change, IT IS CHANGING RIGHT NOW!!! WAKE UP AMERICA, because Obama is "lol'ing" and "lmao'ing" RIGHT NOW!!!

  1. Great post Lizzard. Yep, right now the Kenyan Kid is on a roll and things are looking good for the great upsurper, but as with all tyrannts before him his reign will come to an end and you and I will be there to cheer that day.

  2. I wonder who brainwashed your 2 cheeren? Funny, if you argue with them long enough though, their arguments begin to fall apart, like the day Sam was trying to tell me how much a doctor should charge for a visit and how much the office staff should be paid.

That shore ain't her bidness. It ain't Barack's bidness either.

Sadly your cheeren have accepted the notion of class warfare. Anyone that makes more money than you or has a higher standard of living is inherently evil. That person's achievement should be punished and their wealth should be confiscated and given to the less fortunate.

Never mind that hard study and hard work might have been involved.

    Good luck old friend.

  3. Enough of being nice, as trying to be respectful gets you nowhere with an ignorant conservative. As a liberal, I guess I should have learned that a few presidential elections ago (you know, the one where AL GORE actually won)...

First, pop, it appears that you'd prefer that Casey and I stick our heads in the sand like ALison and Blake - since we don't share your point of view, in your mind, we're apparently just a stupid as those who don't pay attention. Frankly, I appreciate that the person in the Whitehouse is trying to look out for AMERICANS.... ALL AMERICANS... REGARDLESS OF WEATLH, EDUCATION, RACE, HOMETOWN... That's a lot more that can be said of ANY president that I remember. Your conservative commander in chief started a war to avenge his father and sent thousands of Americans, mostly poor, to invade a country we had no business in... and all the while racking up almost a half of a trillon dollar deficit for me, my children and grandchildren... FOR WHAT???? WHAT DID HE ACCOMPLISH??? DID HE GET BIN LADEN? NO, HE LET HIM SLIP AWAY WHILE PRETENDING THAT SADDAM FLEW THE PLANES INTO THE WTC. I'd MUCH rather see where my hard earned tax dollars are going by KNOWING that if I, or ANYONE, gets sick, we will be able to get healthcare without worrying about going BANKRUPT. I, as a citizen of this country and a member of the human race, cannot sit by and support the health "care" system as it is now - THE SYSTEM ITSELF DISCRIMINATES BASED ON WEATLTH. NO ONE, no matter how rich or poor, how educated or how WHITE or BLACK, should be denied proper health care. NO ONE should have to choose between paying their mortgage to provide their family a place to live and having a necessary medical procedure to save a life.

Apologize... hell, we need to... to OUR OWN FELLOW AMERICANS FOR FAILING THEM AND LETTING THEM SUFFER WHEN IT COULD BE PREVENTED. We turn a blind eye to anyone suffering.. homeless, hungry, hurting... there should be MORE apologies... to OUR OWN...

And you all truly are either A) selfish B) paranoid C) ignorant or D) all of the above- if you think they are going to issue "death panels" and "let gramma die". This is RIGHT WING PROPAGANDA. I thought you were smarter than that. The "death panel" is what is happening now, based on socioeconomic ability to pay. Have you READ the bill?? YOU ALL have fallen prey to the propoganda bandwagon. The bill, pages 425-427 (about your "death panel") actally talks about helping patients with power of attorney, living wills and directive, how to access end of life care such as hospice, and lord forbid, a streamline system so if someone is in another part of the State and goes into a coma or something, the medical professionals wherever the person is will have access to his/her end of life wishes (DNR or not, etc).

They want access to your financial records?? Really??? Where is that in the bill?? Pg 59, lines 21-24... "enable" electronic funds transfer in order to allow automated reconciliation with releated health care payment and remittance advice... HUH? This is no different from when you use your debit card at the hospital or set up an automated payment plan.. and it's optional. It does not mean that the government is going to monitor my financial records.

Doc, I was naive to give you the respect that you thought you deserved. Who gives YOU the right to literally set the price of the value of a human life? You are not God. Doctors will still get paid, well, under this plan. Maybe those citizens who dream of luxuries aren't the ones who are greedy, as you proclaim.. maybe it's YOU, who's afraid you won't get your 3rd bass, 4th car, a new boat, a great vacation this year, etc. I'd rather "drink the Koolaid" and have a heart than be a greedy SOB who puts a price on human life/ health. You know what you don't like about the health care bill? Doctor responsibility to actually care for and serve your patients. You are not entitled to a huge salary just because you went to med school.

  4. and thinking of apologies, those of you opposed to health care accessibility to ALL Americans should be apologizing to those who are going to suffer and even die because they can't afford treatment. Apologize to those who can't afford the medicine they need to live a pain-free life... these folks.. you know, the ones you think drain the system, could be productive citizens if they had access to PROPER care...

  5. See what I mean Lizzard? Completely bumfuzzled and misguided. Not just sipping, but chug-a-lugging the koolaid.

    And hostile too.

  7. People do not suffer and die in the United States of America because they don't have insurance. Anyone going to an ER gets seen and treated just like anybody else -- no difference.

The doctor does not look at the chart to see if the patient has insurance before he decides what the diagnosis is, or what tests need to be done.

He does what he always does, tries to do the least amount of testing, but testing that is necessary, in order to come up with the accurate diagnosis.

The physician literally holds the patient's life in his hands. He sacrificed a minimum of 10 years of his life to gain the knowledge to save those lives. The job is stressful, the responsibility enormous, the sacrifice to himself, his life, his family is huge.

Doesn't he deserve to get paid a decent wage for that.

Do you think a high school drop out should get the same wage? Surely not

Should all houses cost the same? Should all cars cost the same? No, some are more technical, cost more to build, .... Same with jobs, they are all different and deserve to be treated that way.

  9. It's not the doctors who refuse to treat patients - they (the hospitals) have staff that actually does that... admissions, triage... insurance companies... and you are a fool to think that people do not get denied medical care. I can name several folks just off of the top of my head that were denied care - and most of these folks were denied care BECAUSE OF their insurance companies. Insurance companies have no place "playing doctor".

Where did I say that a high school drop out should make the same as a doctor? Where did I say that doctors should not be compensated adequately for the valuable service they provide? I didn't say that. I just didn't say who should be compensating them for their services. I have a problem with the system as it is now - insurance companies should not be in the business of denying medical care - a person's doctor should be the one who determines what type of care his/ her patient needs. I have a friend who traveled a long way with her sister who was supposed to have a heart procedure. Her sister was on the bed, ready to be wheeled back into the O.R. when they had to HALT everything - the insurance company decided at the last minute that the procedure was "experimental". Never mind that the 3 doctors who set it up so her sister could have the surgery thought it was a sound procedure that was medically necessary. Never mind that the procedure has been used for over 10 years. Never mind that the procedure would have helped her quality of life and ability to work.

  10. correction to post above:
I take that back - I have known doctors who refuse to treat people, so they also contribute to the problem with our system as it stands now.

And i said that going to med school did not make one entitled to a huge salary. There's "living comfortably and good" and then there is just flat out greed. Being a doctor is a noble profession - it's sad that greed can consume so many of them though.

  11. Hang in there Sam!
And I DO agree with you in that some Doctors, my FIRST cardiologist for example, only run "insurance mills".
Unfortunately, THEY are the very ones who make decent doctors suffer too!

  12. Oops, hit the done button too quick. As I was saying, any doctor on earth knows better than to point his finger into my face and tell me "what I'm gonna do!"
Hell, even the Grouch knows better than that.
I have had many good and caring medical professionals in my time. I also have had a few, one in particular of late, that didn't give a shit about me, just that I had good insurance.

  13. Sam, I been thinking about it and I don't think you're entitled to make the salary you're making at your job. I think you're only worth 60 percent of what you are making. Yep, 60 percent is about right, in fact your boss could give the other 40 percent to homeless people on your behalf. What say I call your boss and explain this to him/her and see if we can make a proper adjustment? You'll feel so much better helping those homeless people. They're homeless after all. You can get by just fine with less.

If you can say I am not entitled to what I make, I can return the favor. It's only fair, after all we're all in this together and we're just one big happy fambily!

  14. Ok, I did not write this and cannot take credit for it, but I thought I would share it with you... this was written by my friend Joe Hall and posted in his facebook account...

This morning I was awoken by my alarm clock powered by electricity generated by the public power monopoly regulated by the US department of energy. I then took a shower in the clean water provided by the municipal water utility. After that, I turned on the TV to one of the FCC regulated channels to see what the national weather service of the national oceanographic and atmospheric administration determined the weather was going to be like using satellites designed, built, and launched by the national aeronautics and space administration. I watched this while eating my breakfast of US department of agriculture inspected food which has been determined as safe by the food and drug administration. At the appropriate time as kept accurate by the national institute of standards and technology and the US naval observatory, I get into my national highway traffic safety administration approved automobile and set out to work on the roads built by the local, state, and federal departments of transportation, possibly stopping to purchase additional fuel of a quality level determined by the environmental protection agency, using legal tender issued by the federal reserve bank. On the way out the door I deposit any mail I have to be sent out via the US postal service and drop the kids off at the public school. After spending another day not being maimed or killed at work thanks to the workplace regulations imposed by the department of labor and the occupational safety and health administration, I drive back to my house which has not burned down in my absence because of the state and local building codes and the fire marshall's inspection, and which has not been plundered of all its valuables thanks to the local police department. I then log onto the internet which was developed by the defense advanced research projects administration and post on freerepublic and fox news forums about how SOCIALISM in medicine is BAD because the government can't do anything right.

  15. Doc, either you're being obtuse, ignorant or truly showing your greed - I have never said you are not entitled to a good salary. But, since you are on some high-horse with this "I've been to med school so I'm entitled to as much money as I can get thrown my way" mentality, how about this compromise:

I have a 4 year degree and make around 30K. So you probably went to school for around 8 years, which means you should make 60K. Hell, I'll even count the 2 -4 years of your residency, so you should make 75K or 90K.

But guess what? I have never before said how much per year you should make. I have never said that a college drop out, or me, with a 4-year degree should make any where near the amount you make. What's really pathetic is that you have taken my whole argument and focused on how it effects you personally and keep whining about someone not giving you what YOU think you deserve.

Anyway, my real-life story for the week for the rest of you hard-headed folks. I met a lady (white, in case it matters to you) who has a 31 year old son who was very sick at the beginning of the year. He went to the hospital, sometimes 2-4 times for month, seeking help. Each time he presented with the same symptoms and each time, regardless of the doctor on call, he was told it was just a stomach bug and to go home. May 24- he again goes to the hospital, but this time his mom goes with him because he is blue from his head down through his torso. The doc again tries to send him home. His mom speaks up and tells the doctor that her son has been told the same thing for almost 6 months and he is not any better. She voluntarily tell the doctor that heart problems run in the family (no one had EVER asked up to this point). The doc reluctanctly admitted this 31 year old man to the hospital for testing. THIS YOUNG MAN WAS DEAD WITHIN 6 HOURS. The doctors told his mother that he had the heart of a 90+ year old man. THIS 31 YEAR OLD MAN WAS POOR AND DID NOT HAVE INSURANCE. HE DID NOT QUALIFY FOR MEDICAID/ MEDICARE. HE WORKED, BUT HIS EMPLOYER DID NOT PROVIDE INSURANCE. If the system as it is now was actually concerned about a person's health instead of cost/ profit, then maybe some bright doctor would have thought to do testing on him when he SOUGHT HELP IN JANUARY. Now he is DEAD. His family, also dirt poor, could not afford to bury him because the funeral homes wanted $3000 up front for expenses. They found help with an African American run funeral home/ church and were finally able to bury their son/ brother.

This story scares the crap out of me. Why? My husband has a history of cardiomyopathy. No, I'm not sure that's what this other young man died from, but I bet it was similar. Thank goodness we had/ have insurance at the moment (though they try to drop Chris at least once a year now). It scares me because it could have been my husband seeking help and repeatedly turned away from proper medical care because of lack of insurance. The rest of you, excluding doc, are all just a job loss or heartbeat away from being uninsured - and you could literally die from it. Insurance companies do not deserve to have the power over life and death but they do. Until that changes, I will support any healthcare reform I can get in this country to take the power away from insurance/ drug lobbyists. I will hope that none of you find yourself in the position that this young man did, and if you do, I will support your getting proper treatment even if you are ignorant and oppose the right to healthcare.

  16. Sam, you can't undo what you said. You said:

"You are not entitled to a huge salary just because you went to med school."

    you also said:

"I have never said you are not entitled to a good salary."

Since when is it up to you to decide what constitutes a good salary?

    You also said:

"But, since you are on some high-horse with this "I've been to med school so I'm entitled to as much money as I can get thrown my way""

I NEVER said this. YOU said this.

    You also said this:

"What's really pathetic is that you have taken my whole argument and focused on how it effects you personally and keep whining about someone not giving you what YOU think you deserve."

First of all, I'm not whining about SOMEONE GIVING ME ANYTHING. I don't expect anyone to GIVE me shit. You liberals are the ones running around with your hands out whining wanting someone to give you something. When you study and work, you EARN your way through life.

Again, I'll say, it's not up to you or some gubment bureaucrat to decide what I should make. When that happens then you sink into socialism, communism or fascism. The only difference between the three is who owns what. No doubt any of these philosophies would set better with you than free market capitalism, which by the way is what made this country great.

Let's say for a moment that I am nothing but a greedy SOB, out to make every steenkin penny I can......SO WHAT? Again, since when does it become YOUR job or the gubment's job to dictate morality? Suddenly you are the gleaming beacon of moral perfection? I think not.

One thing is for sure, Sam. Even if I am obtuse, ignorant, or truly showing my greed, I'm making a hell of a lot more money than you and probably always will. I guess you'll just have to suck on that fact while you swig the koolaid and stew in your angry, class warfare, liberal juices.

I'm not going to comment on your anecdotal medical horror story. I hear these everyday from Barack Obama and his liberal friends. You probably never hear about the countless hundreds or thousands of times my colleagues and I diagnose horrible or perhaps not so horrible ailments in people every day regardless of color, religious beliefs, or financial status. You koolaid sippers never hear about those though and probably would not believe them anyway since we're all greedy SOB's.

  17. LOL. I never complained about my salary. In fact, I didn't even protest your suggestion of taking 40% of my salary to help the homeless - I just offered another suggestion. You're the one who keeps whining that someone may take some of the money you think you deserve.

Story was a true story, not some crap from a forwarded email that you guys seem to rely on for your information.

  20. fuck you. Now go whine back to your supporters about how liberals can't debate and turn violent. You started this crap by saying shit about me back in June. So now, when I choose to stand up for myself, I'm the angry person attacking you. Typical conservative strategy - do anything but actually address the issues at hand and whine when we stoop to your level. Liberals can play just as dirty as you asshole conservatives.

Dad did a fine job raising his chillun to think for themselves. We don't need some stupid forwarded emails or political pundits to tell us what to think - we actually know how to research an issue and formulate our own opinions. I pity you, being so concerned with yourself and so full of hate towards others. I pity your lack of compassion for Americans who may not be as smart, healthy or wealthy as you are. I pity the fact that you are so threatened by those with differing opinions that you censor the posts to your blog (which is hypocritical) and pick and choose the parts of our discussion on dad's blog you want to post for your "supporters". I guess you have that conservative media mentality down pat. Sling mud, whine, and shy away from any substantial debate...that is your way. Whatever.

we will never change our fundamental differences - the "Me" vs "We" mentality.
